We’re all going to have to wait a little longer for the presentation of the Trelawny League Premier Division trophy …

League leaders Carharrack could have won it today as they were playing second placed West Cornwall. However with both sides holding the lead at different times, in the end it finished all-square 2-2 with everyone having to wait at least another week. Carharrack now need one win from their last two games. They play Holman SC next Saturday and St Buryan the Saturday after. CS was there just in case!

Congratulations to Helston Athletic new champions of the SWPL Division One West …

The first goal didn’t come against bottom side Perranporth until just before half-time when a Charlie Young header broke the deadlock. Further goals from Mark Goldsworthy, his 52nd goal of the season which means a new SWPL goalscoring record for the striker, and substitute Mikey Davies completed the 3-0 scoreline. CS was there for the match.

The goalscorers list is now up on the site for the Cornish Guardian East Cornwall Premier League as at the end of April …

AFC St Austell pick up their SWPL Premier Division Championship trophy after beating Camelford …

In their last home match of the season, with the title already clinched, the Lillywhites beat visitors Camelford 3-2 to complete their home season and then celebrate by being presented with the trophy. CS was their to sample the atmosphere

The first of the JCCL Supplementary Cup semi-finals has been played …

with Illogan RBL Reserves beating Helston Athletic Reserves 5-0. Possibly not as one-sided as the result sounds, but nevertheless Illogan deserved to go through. CS was their for some photos
